Local electricity distribution companies are currently rolling out Smart Electricity Meters across Ontario. With a smart meter, you will be billed for your electricity usage depending on the time of day when you use the electricity.

Smart Meter 是个很好的英语词汇, 简单生动一目了然, 然而它的汉译,究其使用的语境，还是直接普通的好，单就翻译而言，恰恰是“意译”.-“数字电表” 而聪敏电表倒是反而怪怪的。还有译为”智能电表“ 也是较好译法！ & e9 ]) G3 R! ^$ q: E: l2 a% I
世界诸多的东西，一旦成为商品就有了价格。而电力，作为能源，自 2005 始 由于加国政府推行” deregulation" ( 有译作解控）而逐渐市场化，能源公司介入的竞争，更使价格有了变化。由于技术上解决了时段的分析和记录，就使分时计价有了可能！
